In 2017, Syn Tokyo composed original music for a heartwarming Amazon Prime campaign in Japan. The spot tells the story of a grandson returning to his widowed grandmother, rediscovering his late grandfather’s motorcycle, and—thanks to Prime—surprising her with a new helmet so they can ride together. An emotional, life-affirming journey, beautifully told through music and film.So beloved was the campaign that in 2023 Amazon re-licensed it for use across Europe, Canada, and Australia, where it ran in prime-time slots worldwide. It is rare for a Japanese-produced campaign to resonate so universally, but this film’s celebration of empathy and connection transcended language barriers and cultural borders.As Syn’s first collaboration with Amazon Japan, the project became the foundation of a close creative partnership. In the years that followed, Syn continued to shape the sound of Amazon campaigns—from New Year’s Sales and Prime Day to student initiatives—helping to define the brand’s voice across diverse audiences.
